This study investigated the implementation of the Spiral Progression Approach (SPA) in an English-Medium Science Curriculum and the mastery of science concepts among Grade 10 students at Sisaket Wittayalai School, Kingdom of Thailand. The research examined curriculum implementation across four learning dimensions — student-related, teacher-related, instructional, and environmental — and assessed science concept mastery across Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth Science domains. Employing a mixed-methods, cross-sectional design (n = 76: 71 students + 5 science teachers), the study utilized descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation for quantitative analysis, complemented by thematic analysis of teacher interview data. Findings revealed statistically significant differences in mastery across domains (F = 28.94, p < 0.0001), with Earth Science demonstrating strongest performance. No significant correlations were found between SPA implementation dimensions and mastery scores, underscoring the multifactorial nature of science achievement in English-instructed multilingual contexts. The SCIENGAGE Science Enhancement Program was proposed.
A dynamic IT Systems professional and licensed educator with 9+ years of experience across science education and information technology in Thailand and the Philippines. With a strong foundation in classroom instruction — spanning Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and English — and a published master's thesis on curriculum implementation, Harvee now applies deep pedagogical insight to designing and managing enterprise-grade educational technology systems. Currently serving as System Administrator at Oneness Bilingual School, architecting a multi-campus ERP platform while continuing to bridge the gap between research-driven education and scalable IT infrastructure.
Taught Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy, and English across government and private schools in Thailand and the Philippines. This hands-on classroom experience — including serving as research-site educator at Sisaket Wittayalai School (May 2024 – Feb 2025) where the published MAED thesis data was collected — shaped a deep understanding of curriculum delivery, multilingual instruction, and the real-world challenges that inform both published research and the educational technology systems built today.
